Our NSW State Government client cares for and protects NSW’s environment and heritage, including natural environment, built heritage, Aboriginal country, culture and heritage ensuring the protection and strengthening of the environment and economy in NSW.

**About the Role**
They are currently seeking a highly motivated Project Officer to join their team in Parramatta with the flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 12-month assignment, with a potential to extend.

Reporting to the Manager, you will be required to support the development, implementation and review of projects designed to increase resource efficiency and recycling for the Engagement, Education & Programs Division.

**Responsibilities**
- Complete end to end project support
- Track, monitor and report on project plans, status updates, milestones, budgets and deliverables
- Assist in the development of performance indicators
- Deliver high level professional customer service
- Answer enquiries, providing timely and accurate responses
- Undertake research, gathering and collating information to support informed decision making outcomes
- Make evidence-based recommendations to Director, Executive and Minister as needed in respect to waste issues
- Preparation of project documentation including briefs, advice, correspondence, reports and presentation material
- Records and database management, ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements

**About You**
- Demonstrated Project or Program Support experience
- Exposure to Ministerial correspondence highly advantageous
- Previous experience working within a high pressure and complex environment
- Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency with MS Office suite & SAP

- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
