**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
An exciting opportunity exists to undertake post graduate studies in Intensive Care Nursing at Werribee Mercy Hospital in our 8 bed Intensive Care Unit.
The aim of the Post Graduate ICU program is to provide theoretical knowledge and skills to practice in the Intensive Care Unit at an advanced beginner level. Subjects are delivered using a variety of teaching methods. This includes a combination of lectures, tutorials, clinical simulation, online learning and worksheets. Assessment consist of assignments, clinical practice portfolios, online components and reflective practice.
- Fixed term part time (64 hours/fortnight) for duration of course
- The Program commences in June 2023 and provides an introduction to ICU concepts and patient care
- Program applicants need to demonstrate a passion for Intensive Care Nursing and ongoing professional development
- The program is supported by a full time Clinical Educator
**ABOUT YOU**:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
- Having completed two years post nursing registration in an acute environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse, multidisciplinary teams
- Applicants are required to be Australian citizens or have Australian Permanent Residency
- Committed to undertake the 12 month program and the ability to commence in June 2023
