**Introduction**:
This is a permanent part-time role based out of Charlestown that services the parishes of Boolaroo, Warners Bay, Booragul, Toronto and Mackillop. 22 hours per week with flexibility for days of work.

Position Overview
As the Parish Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily administration of our parish. You will be the welcoming face of our office, providing clerical and administrative support, while contributing to a professional and friendly atmosphere.

**Key tasks**:
- Be the first point of contact to welcome and help all visitors at the parish office.
- Respond to and communicate enquires to relevant people.
- Coordinate and implement office procedures.
- Responsible for maintenance of the Parish Database, Parish records and managing the content of the Parish website.
- Handle parish finances.
**Skills and Experiences**:
Experience/Criteria
- Well motivated to work for the Church and possess a strong commitment to its practices and values.
- Demonstrated ability in accurate and proficient performance of a wide range of administrative tasks.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills and a pastoral attitude.
- An ability to relate to a variety of people and the capacity to develop and maintain sound working relationships with other parish workers and volunteers.
- Capacity to coordinate and/or oversee various Parish events or ministries.
- Prepared to work effectively with the local Catholic school particularly and to liaise with the Government schools as necessary.
- Energetic and highly motivated with initiative and capacity to work with minimum supervision.
- The ability to keep confidentiality (and the discernment to know what must be kept confidential) is essential.
- Computer competency in Microsoft Office Applications and Parish Data Systems (willingness to learn).
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Content Management Systems (CMS).
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Office Administration or relevant experience working in an administrative capacity.
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
