**About the Orgaisation**:
Working with a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to supporting individuals and families affected by family violence. The programs include short-term refuge, long-term refuge, transitional accommodation, and after-hours crisis response services.

**Position Overview**
Seeking a passionate and dedicated Specialist Family Violence Practitioner to join our team in providing critical after-hours support to victim survivors of family violence. This role will focus on delivering outreach crisis response and support to individuals in crisis accommodation, as well as providing assessment and crisis response in our refuges and residential units. The Specialist Family Violence Practitioner will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, safe, and empowering support to those seeking safety and recovery.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Establish effective and empowering relationships with victim survivors.
- Provide crisis support and case management in line with our organization's standards.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of risks, needs, and circumstances of victim survivors.
- Receive and prioritize after-hours referrals from various sources.
- Facilitate placements in emergency accommodation when necessary.
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans.
- Offer information, material aid, counseling, emotional support, and referrals.
- Collaborate with referring organizations and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
- Stay informed about family violence sector reforms and resources.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Tertiary qualification in Social Work (essential).
- Experience in the family violence sector (desirable).
- Knowledge of specialist family violence and child well-being work (highly desirable).
- Strong case management experience and skills.
- Excellent time management and autonomy.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including data management.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant child protection and police checks.
- Full driver's license.
