The Environment and Heritage (E&H) Group are currently seeking to appoint a **Senior Team Leader** **Adaptation Impacts & Risk Science**. In this role, you will design and drive delivery of programs with a focus on climate science and the delivery of data, information and scientific advice in relation to climate extremes, climate risks and impacts and adaptation strategies.

**About You**

As the Senior Team Leader, Adaptation Impacts & Risk Science Team you will be committed to working collaboratively with a team to deliver customer-focused results. You will have strong communication skills and a record of delivery on a range of high quality, cost-effective science programs.

Building and maintaining professional relationships is something that you value, as you enjoy collaborating across various networks. Working in this role you will be at the forefront of providing science and knowledge to partners within DPE and in other government agencies to help shape the direction of climate change policies and programs in NSW such as NSW Adaptation Strategy and NSW Net Zero Plan.

Developing robust advice on complex issues for the NSW Government and community, and presenting this in a clear and accessible format, is a strength that you possess. Your experience in project management will assist in your ability to manage budgets and assess risks related to the program, while driving continuous improvement from a high-performing team. Your determination for staff upskilling and career progression will contribute to your success a senior team leader.

**Essential Requirements**
- Relevant scientific qualifications.
- High-level experience in developing and leading rigorous greenhouse gas emissions modelling and mitigation science programs and stakeholder recognition of expertise in a relevant scientific discipline.
