About the role

The Salvation Army Emergency Services (SAES) is responsible for coordinating all emergency and disaster response and recovery services for TSA.

This position provides specialist knowledge and expertise in practice to support service design and delivery nationally of the SAES program. The position will:

- Assist in the development of a national framework and service delivery model
- Develop processes or procedures that facilitate consistent best practice service delivery
- Develop materials or collateral that supports practice
- Coordinate a community of practice
- Develop and maintain a nationally consistent SAES response and recovery training program

You will successfully
- Take a key role in the development of processes or procedures that facilitate consistent best practice service delivery
- Contribute to the planning and development of national frameworks and operating models for service delivery
- Support state leaders to implement frameworks and models of service delivery
- Provide expertise in all areas of practice delivery including cultural competence, community engagement and collaborative working
- Work alongside state leaders to promote healthy collaboration between SAES workers, local mission delivery teams, and other TSA expressions
- Design, develop and manage a nationally consistent SAES response and recovery training program
- Support the training and development needs for SAES workforce
- Facilitate training and workshops for the national team

You will have
- Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field and significant relevant experience, including management experience.
- Post graduate qualification would be highly regarded
- Active membership in community or government bodies within the sector
- A national police record check is required
- An international police record check is required, where applicable
- Working with Children Check is required
- An ability to travel interstate

This is a full-time, permanent position located in Redfern, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability award Level 5.
