Office Location Flexible - Provide specialist knowledge and expertise in Youth Services practice to support service delivery across Australia

The Salvation Army Youth Services offer an integrated suite of programs engaging with young people across Australia. Our services create intentional avenues for young people to explore opportunities, build support networks, and access, participate and contribute to their communities. Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a permanent full time Youth Services Specialist to provide specialist knowledge and expertise in Youth Services practice to support service delivery across Australia.

This position is a member of the Youth Services stream leadership team and will contribute to national plans frameworks and practice to ensure innovative and client centred service delivery to meet current and future needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and contribute to ongoing reviews of services across the stream and development of a plan for future service delivery
- Assist in the development of a workforce plan for the stream
- Support State Manager to implement frameworks and models of service delivery
- Stay informed about policy, changes and trends in the sector and impacts of these for national service delivery models and frameworks
- Coordinate community of practice to share knowledge and expertise of practitioners from across Australia
- Develop and implement strategic opportunities for enhancements and developments to programs and services
- Work nationally to ensure quality, consistent and effective delivery of education, training and employment services.

About you
- Degree qualification in social work, social science, community development or related field
- Post graduate qualification would be highly regarded
- Experience in managing youth services
- Experience in active engagement in community or government bodies within the youth sector
- Experience writing tenders and submissions
- Excellent verbal and written skills
