About the opportunity
The Aircraft Life Support Fitter will work closely with a large and inclusive team of technical experts focused on success.
As a member of the P-8 Program Team you will operate in an Industry and Commonwealth Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment. The P-8 Support Team consists of Boeing Defence Australia, Airbus Australia Pacific and the Commonwealth of Australia represented by the P-8 Sustainment Management Unit (SMU).
Reporting to the Team Lead Aircraft Maintenance and working within the 92WG Aircraft Life Support Team, the ALS Fitter is primarily responsible for liaising with 92WG units to provide Life Support services for P8 Support Team at RAAF Edinburgh. You will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications and fault rectification.
The ALS Fitter performs a hands on role in the conduct of aircraft life support equipment maintenance activities.
About you
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.

**The skills and experience best suited to this role include**:

- Trade Qualification in Aircraft Life Support Fitting
- Experience in a Life Support Logistic Support Environment
- ADAASS training user experience
- Knowledge of, and ability to apply, relevant regulations, standards, policies and procedures

You must be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment medical screening which may include drug and alcohol testing.
