**The opportunity?**

We are currently looking for an energetic and experienced Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator to oversee all maintenance and repairs, including grounds keeping and other ad-hoc requirements as needed. This newly created role requires someone who has initiative, a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills. A typical day in this role will see you working closely with the Workplace Health & Safety Specialist on site maintenance improvement and attending to all maintenance issues - both preventative and reactive. You could be working on anything from painting to mowing the lawns.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Coordination of all repairs & maintenance
- Use of power and handheld tools
- General maintenance of facilities and yards including general yard maintenance and rubbish and green waste removal
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Maintaining equipment and internal systems, such as heating and air conditioning systems, alarms and security cameras
- Responding to urgent maintenance calls and contributing to emergency preparedness plans
- Liaising with contractors
- Updating maintenance record systems

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- A minimum of 2 years working within a similar role
- A stable and reliable working history
- A building trade/handyperson background
- Experience maintaining grounds, buildings and amenities
- Experience contributing to the planning and delivery of building and infrastructure improvement works
- Experience engaging contractors to maintain, repair or install infrastructure within approved delegations
- A proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
- A sense of responsibility and motivation
- A sound and practical understanding of WH&S and risk management principles
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills advantageous as monthly maintenance reporting will be required
- Proven experience with cost saving initiatives
- A forklift license or a willingness to obtain one is highly advantageous

Based in the Western suburbs of Sydney, Custom Bus Group has been building buses in Sydney since 1955. With over 65 years’ experience it is Australia’s oldest bus builder and Sydney’s only full bus builder. Over the last 2 years we have developed the first Australian operational Electric Bus "The Element". This bus has now commenced production which will see over 100 electric buses built in the first year.
