Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners for the above position (s) in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. The position will be primarily located at **Lithgow Hospital**_._**

Successful applicants will be responsible for coordinating senior and junior medical staff within the facility for the provision of safe, effective, and efficient clinical service through leadership and management. The Clinical Lead is expected to contribute to and implement the strategic direction of Lithgow Hospital promulgate clinical governance accountabilities for medical staff within Lithgow Hospital, develop and implement local clinical policy that meet clinical needs; manage human, physical and financial resources within the allocated budget; and meet key performance indicators.

Appointees may be eligible for credentialing and privileging across all other facilities in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- 1. Possess or be eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- 2. Hold and/or be able to satisfy selection and recruitment to a substantive relevant senior medical appointment in NBMLHD.
- 3. Demonstrated current clinical knowledge and technical expertise in contemporary clinical practice in the relevant specialty.
- 4. Demonstrated commitment to medical education and staff training.
- 5. Demonstrated ability in strategic clinical services planning and the provision of patient focused comprehensive, high quality and cost-effective clinical service.
- 6. Demonstrated personal qualities of clinical leadership, including excellent engagement and communication skills, motivation, initiative, time management and commitment to negotiation and team building.
- 7. Demonstrated ability to innovate, implement and improve patient safety, patient flow, continuum of care and waiting times for treatment.
- 8. Relevant clinical leadership experience.
