- Located in South Bowenfels, the Lithgow Campus is considered as a comprehensive community health centre supporting approximately 20,000 people living in the town and surrounding areas. The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.
The Clinical Support Officer (CSO) role is ward/unit based and supports the work activities of nurses, medical staff and allied health staff, with locally determined shift times based on patient and ward/unit service delivery needs. Your role will provide functions across the health facility to more than one ward/unit. The Clinical Support Officer works closely with existing administrative staff such as ward clerks and communication officers at the ward/unit level and will compliments existing roles, systems and processes in the organisation.
This is a role that requires timely and accurate administrative/transactional services for members of the health care team to designated ward(s)/unit(s) under the direction of the Nurse/Unit Manager(s) - NUM(s).

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent or relevant work experience
- Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
- Demonstrated experience in roster development, word processing, spreadsheet development / maintenance and database software
