What you'll be doing:

This is a great opportunity for a Hospital Assistant to join our growing team located at Lithgow Hospital. This is the opportunity to work in a permanent part time role


Your role as Hospital Assistant will be cleaning of all parts of the Hospital campus and other sites, including but not limited to patient, public and office areas.


You will provide excellent customer service to staff, patients and visitors as well as report faults requiring attention promptly to ensure safe working environment.

You will operate relevant machinery with care and undertake relevant competency training to ensure work health and safety requirements are met to prevent injuries.


This is a rotating roster, shift work position, and may include any shift over 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Selection criteria to be addressed:

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn / undertake training in the role of a Hospital Assistant
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with patients, other members of staff and members of the public with empathy and an appreciation of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated experience to be able to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision
  • Basic understanding of Infection Control Principles for both personal safety as well as the safety of all within the facility
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
