Kmart is transforming and enhancing the in-store shopping experience for customers through the implementation of new technology and uplifting the capability of the current retail systems.

These enhancements include upgrades to the point of sale and self-checkout systems, and the inventory management systems, which have helped to improve the accuracy of stock levels and ensure that popular products are always in stock.

Kmart is striving for a seamless omnichannel experience across both in-store and online shopping. These technological innovations have helped Kmart to streamline its operations and provide a seamless shopping experience for customers.

**What you’ll be doing**

Kmart is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic and fast-paced engineering teams within the Customer Technology Stores team. You will be someone that has a strong background in people management and a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.

In addition, you are someone who has a cloud-first engineering mindset with knowledge of different tech environments such as.Net, Typescript, Nodejs, Java, Java Spring Boot, and DevOps. Your experience with cutting-edge technologies and ability to drive innovation will help us continue to evolve and grow.

**To be successful in this role you’ll have**:

- Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
- Drive a cloud-first engineering strategy and ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Mentor and coach team members to help them grow their technical and leadership skills.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Stay current with the latest technology trends and recommend new tools and techniques that could benefit the team.
- Ensure delivery of software solutions in accordance with DORA metrics
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with other departments and teams.
- Manage projects, budgets, and timelines and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
