With the airline well and truly ramped up again, and a growing fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft (our fleet has already grown by more than 50% in the past two years, and we expect more to come). A rare opportunity has opened for a Crew Tracking Specialist to join our Integrated Operations Centre.

**What you will be doing**:
Reporting into the Manager, Crew Tracking this unique role will see you enhancing the knowledge, capability and performance of the Crew Tracking team. Whilst you will primarily be responsible for a single portfolio, you will also become a Subject Matter Expert across all Crew Tracking portfolios. This will enable cross functional support and the delivery operational excellence, whilst enabling excellence in customer experience.

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

- Reconciling invoices and raising purchase orders for any relevant third-party suppliers within the Crew Tracking portfolio
- Ensuring all team members complete mandatory training applicable to their roles, while also ensuring adherence to the Virgin Australia Risk Management Framework
- Leading consultation of WHS matters as related to your working environment, as well as actively participating in the Group’s Resilience Program
- Participating in and representing the operational interest of Crew Tracking in stakeholder and supplier process changes and industrial negotiations
- Creating SOPs where procedural/system changes require and the stakeholder and supplier discussions leading to the changes.
- Effectively communicating policy and procedural changes to all relevant stakeholders and attending regular meetings with key stakeholders to identify operations support requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and quality of processes in the Crew Tracking portfolio, as well as identifying possible barriers preventing the implementation of processes and key initiatives while providing actions to mitigate barriers.
- Participating in the design and conduct of audits by Aircraft Operations, other internal divisions and external organisations, as well as assist in the design and delivery of Crew Tracking team training as required

**What you need to be successful**:

- Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring a team
- Resilience and a positive approach to the tough days as a member of the IOC support leadership
- Cabin Crew Tracking experience or similar discipline in an airline environment or working knowledge of Cabin Crew EAs
- Emotional intelligence, the ability to read, monitor and understand people’s behaviours and respond appropriately to effect positive outcomes
- Intermediate level skills in productivity tools including as a minimum the MS Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint
- Ability to analyse and resolve highly complex system and process problems when working to a time constrained timeline
- Demonstrated capacity to produce clear concise instructions for end users
- Good understanding of both the broad and detailed objectives of the Customer Service Delivery, Aircraft Operations and Integrated Operations Centre streams of the COO portfolio
- Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
- Sound knowledge of aviation legislation and regulations
