**Overview**:
We are looking for a Workshop Assistant to join our team. The Workshop Assistant, reporting to Production Manager, is a strategic role responsible for ensuring our production team and facility have what they need to deliver Autonomy Products meeting the highest standards for quality and reliability. You will work in a team to keep our facility and our production lines at optimal condition.

**The Location**: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position will be in person at our Wangara WA Facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Meeting all safety requirements of the company and industry.
- Maintain the 5s standards set in place by leadership.
- Support shop productions goals.
- Receive in kits from Stores and properly prepare the kits for install using standard work.
- Use hand tools to finish some assemblies prior to install.
- Work with closely with the Shop Supervisor on all shop improvement initiatives.
- Keep a clean and well-organized workspace.
- Using reason to solve problems as they arise.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required**:

- A Western Australian Certificate of Education or Equivalent.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Skilled in mechanics.
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors.

**Physical Demands and Working Conditions**:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 20kgs. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. Work is typically performed in a production environment and can be loud.
