Melbourne City Centre, Australia IPA Personnel Services Full time

IPA has partnered with a Not-for-Profit Organisation, who are the largest peak body in Australia for organisations and individuals who work with men to end family violence. Our client is looking for an AP/AR Officer for a Six-Month temp assignment to start ASAP. You would be required to work 5 days a week, Monday to Friday working 38 hours per week, based in the office which is based in the CBD. The hourly rate for the position is $45 per hour plus super per hour.

Reporting in the Finance Manager the role will require you to be across all functions of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for the organisation and be able to assist with some adhoc duties including producing reports when required.

Some of your other duties and responsibilities are:

- Perform full Accounts receivable process (low volume) -remittances, invoices, etc..
- Perform full Accounts payable process (high volume) - requires seeking approval and uploading - invoices & approvals + quotes, proposals, etc
- Allocate credit card transactions including seeking invoices/receipts etc.. and allocating to correct cost centres.
- Reconciliations of bank and credit cards (high volume)
- Assign Cost Centre's to transactions.
- Assign Prepaid income and expenses.
- Complete a month end.
- Prepare reports and commentary for a board of directors.

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven background and experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. If you have an understanding of government grants & fee for service revenue this would be highly desirable. Experience using QuickBooks is essential, and if you have used Spotlight Reporting this would be an advantage but not essential. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written is vital, as well as being able to work as a team and being able to work autonomously. You must be highly organised, with excellent time management have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You must be values driven and enjoy following processes and procedures. Proficient computer skills in MS Suite Programs are essential particularly in Excel.
