**We are looking for passionate theatre lovers to join us as Performing Arts Stage Assistant volunteers**

**Whatever scene you’re in, we want to welcome you on (or behind) the stage to share your sparkle and skills or experience in musical, creative and performance arts with other drama and dance lovers in your community**

**CPL's Screech Arts program is an innovative and inclusive performing arts program for creative spirits of all ages and abilities. **It’s all about creating an accessible environment for performers of all ages, and all abilities, to participate at their own pace.**

**As a volunteer Performing Arts - Stage Assistant you will be**:

- Welcoming performers to the workshops
- Conducting friendly, professional encounters with clients.
- Participating in workshops, rehearsals and performances alongside clients.
- Encouraging clients to engage with the program content in a way that builds confidence and positive experience.

**You will not be responsible for**:

- Any personal support; e.g. manual handling, personal care, administration of medication or meal assistance. These activities will be carried out by qualified support workers.
- Leading and managing the screech program activities at the location. Your role is to engage and inspire with your creative talents, skills and expertise

**This volunteer opportunity takes place during school terms at CPL Geebung on Saturday's 12.30pm - 2.30pm. **Term 1 starts January 28 2023.**

**Volunteers are also invited to assist with our performance in the **_Anywhere Theatre Festival_** May 2023**
- **Thursday night 4th of May 6pm - 7pm (Volunteers available from 4pm - 8pm)**:

- **Saturday night 6th of May 6pm - 7pm (Volunteers available from 4pm - 8pm)**:

- **Thursday night 11th of May 6pm - 7pm (Volunteers available from 4pm - 8pm)**:

- **Saturday night 13th of May 6pm - 7pm (Volunteers available from 4pm - 8pm**

We ask that you commit a minimum of 5 months to the Screech Arts volunteer opportunity.

**Make a difference and support people with a disability to live the life they choose**

All CPL volunteers and students on placement engaging alongside persons with a disability are required to provide CPL with a certificate of completion for the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, as requested by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. There is no cost to complete this online training.
