**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**

The Contract Lead Waste and Recycling Services leads waste management and recycling for the commercial sector including development and expansion of innovative hub networks to accommodate city growth while improving amenity outcomes.

**What you will bring**
- Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values - accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
- Tertiary qualification and/or significant relevant experience and proven achievement in the provision of waste management systems and policy;
- Strong team player, with the ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence and sound judgement whilst collaborating and cooperating on decisions and initiatives;
- Highly developed analytical and lateral thinking skills and the ability to take the initiative, drive changes and implement innovations;
- Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and maintain business plans and associated budgetary and financial management requirements;
- High level contract and project management skills with the ability to scope and manage activities for major municipal services that are of high quality, timely and meet budget;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including the capacity to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to build and manage relationships critical to the delivery of Council’s services;
- Demonstrated knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework applicable to the position.
