**About Training Market Design**
Training Market Design is responsible for training market design and management and has a strong focus on improving outcomes for students and employers, in particular disadvantaged students.

Training Market Design is responsible for a broad reform agenda that aims to improve the functioning of the NSW training market. The team also plays a role in shaping broader NSW skills policy and national agendas to reform the training sector.

**About the role**
The Project Support Officer contributes to the development and implementation of a range of policy and market management initiatives and supports monitoring and reporting on the performance of the VET market.

This role supports the delivery of Smart and Skilled. which assists school leavers, young people and job seekers to gain the skills they need to up-skill or re-train for industries where there are skills shortages and emerging employment opportunities.

This role is part of the Training Market Design team that leads the design and implementation of policies, programs and initiatives that support the successful delivery of Smart and Skilled.

**Skills and Experience**
- Be customer service oriented in your approach
- Be capable of working with little supervision in a high-volume environment
- Have the ability to prioritise your work in order to accomplish goals
- Have clear communication and able to maintain professional relationships with stakeholders
- The ability to maintain a current understanding about vocational education and training in a setting that is continuously changing
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
