About the role
This position is responsible for the efficient and effective day to day administration and support to the Eastern Health medical workforce with specific service provision for a portfolio within one or two Clinical Directorate teams. To work collaboratively within and outside of the Medical Workforce Unit (MWU) to create a culture of service provision towards the senior and junior medical staff of Eastern Health.

Experience in a complex, multi-site, 24 hours, 7 days per week organisation
Proven experience in the management of rosters
Previous experience in or demonstrated understanding of the healthcare industry
Demonstrated understanding of Human Resource practices, policies, procedures and methodologies
Demonstrated understanding of industrial Awards and agreements
Experience in the production of employment contracts for senior staff
Experience in the on boarding of medical staff
Key Result Areas /Key Performance Indicators
All rosters are prepared and distributed and where changes are required, are communicated to all relevant parties in a timely manner
Details of all medical staff are accurately maintained on the relevant database
All JMS issued with staff badges and required ICT access within agreed timeframes
All JMS rosters are prepared and posted within award requirements
All JMS timesheets/Roster On processes are checked, coded and processed within required timeframes
Performance Board information are updated daily
Completion Eastern Health iLearn courses allocated to you in a timely manner
Annual performance reviews with Operations Lead - Junior Medical Staff

Selection Criteria
**Essential**: Customer Service experience with; attention to detail, ability to negotiate outcomes, strong work ethic, ability to work inter-dependently along with high level communication skills
**Essential**: Medical Workforce or Hospital Administration experience along with experience in a complex, multi-site, 24 hour, 7 day per week organisation
**Essential**: High level computer skills with Microsoft Programs including word and excel with proven and proficient expertise in systems or data base management
**Essential**: High level roster skills with knowledge of DIT Award conditions and hours of work for Junior Medical Staff or similar comparable work in the health sector
**Desirable**: Demonstrated understanding of Human Resource practices, policies, procedures and methodologies
