THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity for a Night Shift Maintenance Operator (Mechanical) to join our team at our Rooftiles manufacturing site in Springvale, Victoria. You will be working Monday to Thursday 10.00pm to 6.00am and Friday 8.00pm to 6.00am (Overtime available).
Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or Boilermaker Certificate, have good attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete planned maintenance tasks.
- Complete repairs or modifications as requested by the Maintenance Planner or Shift Supervisor.
- Replace parts as required.
- Prep machine and complete calibrations ready for the incoming shift.
- Working with a small cleaning crew with a supervisor.
- High speed machinery - 120 tiles per minute.
- Mechanical Fitting, maintenance related to conveyors, stacking plant, cranes, drives, polycord conveyors, bearings rollers etc.
- Fabrication-Simple stick and MiG welding
- Machine tools - Occasional use of milling machine, lathe and pedestal drill.
- Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
