**About the Business**

This Australian owned business has been recognised as one of the most regarded industry innovators. Their core business to consumers is in FMCG, however the sizeable value of the group is their freehold portfolio, exceeding $1.5Bn, covering Industrial, Commercial, and residential development assets. The business employs talented, motivated, and self-driven people within the property team who strive to further their skills and support the wider team with property and development initiatives.

**What will you be doing?**

The internal property team are responsible for providing advice on the strategic direction of all company property assets both owned and leased. The leasehold portfolio consists of more than 100 properties throughout Australia and New Zealand, these are a mixture of manufacturing, commercial and storage facilities.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Property, and supported by an administrator, this strategic and transactional role will play a key part in helping to shape the property requirements. You will look to add value by optimising lease and space requirements and driving innovative solutions in respect of property development, transactions, and acquisitions.

**Key duties**
- Improving commercial property efficiencies of the leased portfolio across Aus & NZ
- Direct involvement with a $1.5Bn+, freehold and development portfolio including managing new acquisitions, lease renewals and disposals.
- Assisting the businesses to achieve best practice property lease management.
- Engaging and managing external contractors for property matters.
- Managing a diversified portfolio of external leases including assisting with new leases and lease renewals.
- Commercial matters, verification of charges and payments.

**Your technical and soft skills.**
- Tertiary qualifications in property such as a Bachelor of Property Economics or Property Development / Valuations
- Five+ years’ experience, in property management and / or property development / analysis
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Develop strong relationships and enjoy taking people on a journey.
- Highly organised and commercial in decision making.
- Unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to travel periodically, throughout Australia and NZ
- An understanding of negotiation skills and solid property fundamentals.
