**Description**:
**Responsibilities**:
The primary responsibility of this position is to support Geelong Arts Centre’s day-to-day financial operations by providing accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable and other elements of the procurement process. The accounts payable officer works closely with the accounts receivable, procurement and payroll officers to ensure complete compliance with strict financial standards. This role will assist a plethora of internal stakeholders in completing the procurement process. Especially in regards to maintaining compliance with delegation of approvals and other auditable elements.

Essential qualifications and experience
To be successful in this position, you will have experience in a similar role, in a fast-paced and busy professional environment. Your accounts payable experience will include but will not be limited to:
Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive diplomatic approach, flexibility of style, and the ability to establish productive working relationships with a variety of people.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial accounting software
Current and valid, or willingness to obtain, Working with Children Check (Employee)
Desirable qualifications and experience
Experience in the use of Microsoft Dynamics accounting software.
Experience in the use of Attache accounting software.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Proficiency with Cloud-based software including OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams.
