The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. **About the Role**
- Interested in influencing open space and recreation outcomes in our iconic inner-city municipality?
- Had experience supporting teams to deliver successful and diverse capital projects for the benefit of community?

**Duties**:

- Ensure Council is delivering a high standard of project management in the Open Space, Recreation (OSR) capital works portfolio, by ensuring projects are delivered to scope, on time and that benefits are achieved.
- To oversee the development, planning and monitoring of the OSR capital works portfolio and support the project management and planning teams providing quality assurance and aiming for best practice results for the community.
- To support the project sponsorship responsibilities for the OSR Capital Works Portfolio
- Analyse and continuously improve procedures and systems.

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience in coordinating the delivery of capital works projects or programs in a local government context.
- Experience with project governance, project methodology, status reporting and financial expenditure tracking.
- Experience gaining cooperation and working effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Excellent written and presentation skills
- Ability to be self-directed and efficiently allocate time and resources
