Verve Partners, in collaboration with our client are currently seeking a Financial Reporting Lead to join their team in this brand new role. As specialists in their field, and with plans of expansion our client are seeking a forward thinking, analytical and outcome driven individual to take full ownership of this function.

**The Position**:
Reporting to the Financial Controller and CFO, the Financial Reporting Lead will be responsible for compliance and statutory reporting requirements for all entities within the business. You will have develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, and provide ongoing training and support across the wider business for financial accountability.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust reporting processes in compliance with accounting standards to support expanding operations and ensure accuracy and efficiency.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Ensure accurate recording of all intercompany transactions and elimination entries in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements on a quarterly basis for internal and external reporting, adhering to accounting standards.
- Oversee the preparation of tax reconciliations and collaborate with external tax accountants for timely submission of monthly and annual tax returns.
- Maintain consistent and compliant internal business processes aligned with accounting standards.
- Provide support during annual external audits as a key contact.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of governance and risk management initiatives.
- Meet reporting deadlines and project milestones in a high-pressure environment.
- Provide guidance and support to the wider business in the implementation of financial systems, processes, and controls to maintain compliance with accounting standards.
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting or Business.
- CA or CPA qualified (or almost complete).
- Demonstrated experience in financial operations, tax compliance and audit processes.
- Excellent time management skills - able to meet strict deadlines.
- Analytical and numbers focused - able to tell the story behind the data to key stakeholders across the business.
- Prior experience working across multiple entities or joint ventures is favourable.
