**Responsibilities**:
This role has a 12 period (600 mins) time release

The Wellbeing Leader will be a member of the school¿s leadership team and an active and visible leader of the School. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Promote a culture of high expectations and aspirations for the learning of students with a disability or additional needs.
- Plan, implement and evaluate whole school wellbeing programs and processes in conjunction with Brighton Secondary College Wellbeing team, LS Inclusion Leader, Chaplin, Student Wellbeing Support and the Mental Health Practitioners.
- Work with leading teachers on the development, implementation and evaluation of a 7-12 social and emotional learning curriculum as part of the Personal Excellence Program curriculum
- In collaboration with the leadership team plan and deliver professional learning, coaching and support to all staff to build capacity and understanding of inclusion and wellbeing principles, practices and delivery.
- Model high quality teaching and learning practice and provide leadership and instruction on the school¿s instructional model.
- Support teachers and other staff members to develop appropriate curriculum materials to respond to students¿ specific wellbeing or inclusion needs
- Build on the relationship between the school, DET SSS and external wellbeing services
- Support the planning and delivery of NAPLAN and other test for students with disabilities requiring adjustments
- Work with the Assistant Principal to manage Student Support Group meetings with families and relevant staff with students identified as having a disability
- Work in collaboration with the LT Junior and LT Senior school, LS Inclusion Leader and the Wellbeing Team.
- Work with the LS Inclusion Leader, Assistant Principals, teachers and other professionals to develop Individual Education Plans for students funded under the Program for Students with a Disability.
- Work with the leaders, teachers and other professionals to develop Individual Education Plans for students in Out of Home care and Individual Learning Plans for non-funded students with a disability
- Work with the Assistant Principal to oversee the collection of data for the annual Nationally Consistent Collection of Data of School Students with a Disability
- Contributes to oversight of staff PDPs
