**About the Role**
Play a pivotal role in shaping the Mental Health in Primary Schools (MHiPS) initiative, a high-profile program aimed at driving systemic change in student mental health across Australia. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining evidence-based content for the MHiPS training program as it expands from Victoria to other states, while researching and implementing innovative delivery methods for both online and in-person training. Working closely with the project manager, delivery lead and a team of Learning Leaders, the role supports the effective delivery of training to schools participating in this transformative initiative.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development, review, and adaptation of MHIPS training content, ensuring it remains relevant, evidence-based, and accessible to a diverse range of participants.
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders, including research partners, government, and education professionals, to co-design and adapt training content for national expansion.
- Researching and implementing innovative delivery methods and ensuring the Learning Leader team is upskilled on content delivery, including the development and maintenance of training materials.
- Actively participating in leadership meetings, anticipating potential project issues, and collaborating with the Project Leadership Team to resolve challenges, while maintaining a risk register as needed.
- Monitoring the quality of training materials and resources, ensuring they meet established standards and are regularly updated to reflect the latest evidence and best practices.
**Who We Are Looking For**
You have experience in conceptualising and developing training content, ideally in mental health or school-based professional development across face-to-face and online learning environments. With strong organisational skills, you can manage competing tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of independent work. You are adept at building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your professionalism, integrity, and ability to handle sensitive information are matched by your strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, enabling you to thrive in high-pressure environments while focusing on continual improvement.
You will also have:
- A PhD in education, psychology, public health, or a relevant social science area.
- A successful history of research accomplishments, including leadership and management of research projects.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including community groups and government organisations, to conduct research or evaluation projects. Additionally, experience in co-designing research, presenting findings, and working independently or as part of a team.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering effective online learning experiences, including strategies for supporting participant engagement and addressing their unique needs.
