**About the position**:
We are looking for our next passionate Development Compliance Officer to join the Regulation and Enforcement team in this rewarding and fast paced position

As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that development projects in the local government area comply with relevant legislation, policy and operating procedures.

Working closely with key stakeholders, you will promptly initiate enforcement action to deliver quality outcomes with a high level of customer service.

Equally, you will demonstrate technical aptitude and personal resilience. This role requires the successful applicants to work flexible hours including being on-call.

**Selection Criteria**
- Recognised tertiary qualifications in town planning, building surveying/environmental health/ environmental science or a related professional discipline.
- Outline your ability to take appropriate action to ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements, including the preparation of reports and representing Council on regulatory matters.
- Provide an example of a situation when you have had to utilise your negotiation and conflict resolution skills in relation to a complex investigation.
- Tell us what values you consider to be important in order to be an effective team member within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Possession of a current Class C drivers' licence or equivalent.
