Our client is currently looking for a Community Ranger to fill a temporary position with an asap start until the 22nd of March 2024.

This is a full-time position, 38 hours per week on a rotational roster
- no weekends

**Overview of Position**:
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide a high quality customer service to the City’s residents and visitors while promoting compliance with various Acts of Parliament, Local Laws and Council Procedures and Policies relevant to the local community. Additionally, the position plays a proactive role in the provision of community education in regards to the City’s services, properties and role within the community.

**Duties included but not limited too**:

- Patrol throughout City and identify areas of non-compliance to relevant local laws and regulations
- Undertake inspections of various premises and areas to assess compliance issues
- Recommend prosecution for offences and prepare prosecutions reports and briefs
- Investigate complaints and issue verbal and written warning and infringements
- Inspect ticket parking machines daily
- Report malfunctions, damage and vandalism of city assets

**Essential criteria**:

- Ideally good ranger experience
- Experience in animal handling
- Municipal law A & B or Rocs 1 & 2
- Drivers license
- Police clearance
