Our client is a global organisation and a leader in power technology and battery storage solutions. As their footprint continues to expand into Australia, they are looking to appoint the key role of** Head of Engineering, Procurement and Construction. **Based out of Melbourne, you will have demonstrated experience of working at a senior level and managing the EPC process for large scale utility and renewable projects within Australia. Experience of projects should include either Wind Farm, Solar, Battery Storage or High Voltage Substations projects.

**Key responsibilities will include**
- Implement and oversee the EPC functions for the overall project strategy for Australia.
- Head EPC partnerships and lead negotiations including technical engineering and consulting resources.
- Coordinate early-stage project strategies, schedules and plans that outlines timelines, budgets and deliverables including the allocation of resources for execution.
- Oversee the design of the project including the methodologies and engineering technologies that will be used.
- Ensure there are robust and strategic procurement processes to secure vital contracts, equipment to mitigate project schedule risks.
- Lead and manage the contractual and commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges.
- Work very closely with the Health & Safety Lead in ensuring non-negotiable safety processes for all staff.
- Communicate with key stakeholders and provide updates on project milestones once projects have commenced.

**About you**
- Have a solid and demonstrated background in delivery of large scale utility construction projects within Australia, Wind Farm, BESS, Solar or High Voltage Substation Construction.
- Extensive experience of managing and coordinating the entire EPC process representing either the Principal, OEM or the EPC Contractor.
- A good blend of expertise in engineering, procurement, project management and construction management.
- A demonstrated high level of commercial acumen with skills to navigate through commercial and contractual negotiations
- First class communication skills with the ability to relate to varying audiences in Australia and overseas.
- Tertiary qualified in Engineering, Construction or Project Management
- Full working rights in Australia as visa sponsorship is not available
