- **General Medicine** service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is committed to providing outstanding patient care. In 2023 we are introducing a new, contemporary model for Allied Health in General Medicine to redefine care for our patients and the experience of our highly regarded team across 7 days. A significant growth in dedicated staffing will support service enhancement and deliver a career structure to develop specialist clinical, research, education and leadership skills for Allied Health working in General Medicine. We are looking for new Allied Health professionals to join our highly experienced and skilled team in delivering this new 7-day Allied Health service. We need dynamic Senior Clinicians, passionate clinician-researchers, junior staff who want to develop in an inspiring environment and clinicians who want to make a difference in our General Medicine Units every day. **RMH Nutrition**:
The Clinical Nutrition department consists of approximately 35 EFT and 40 staff across RMH sites. We provide care to our patients within the acute, subacute and community therapy services across all specialities. We operate a 7-day service across several clinical areas. As a Clinical School, RMH Clinical Nutrition is recognised as a centre of excellence and best practice for clinical nutrition and dietetics. The Department is supported by the Clinical Nutrition Manager and is committed to providing evidence based, patient-centred care. Wellbeing, supervision and reflective practice, professional development, student teaching, quality improvement and research are key focuses of our team.

**Your New Role**:
The Grade 3 Dietitian provides clinical expertise and leadership and has a prominent role in ensuring delivery of high-quality nutrition services at The Royal Melbourne Hospital General Medicine service.
- Core responsibilities include:

- As a recognised or emerging clinical leader, undertakes a clinical caseload in General Medicine including the management of patients with eating disorders (acute care)
- Providing clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff and student dietitians
- Collaborative engagement with key disciplines and partners to deliver excellence in patient care
- Opportunity to lead/participate in a department portfolio.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation to nutrition care including research, quality initiatives, and essential governance processes.
- Contribute to the Clinical Nutrition strategic plan as an essential member of the RMH Senior Dietitians team.

**About You**:

- You have 7 years relevant clinical experience in acute nutrition care and ideally specialist skills in the nutrition management of eating disorders in the acute phase of care
- You are a skilled communicator with a passion for leadership
- You are innovative. resourceful and adaptive to change
- You are eligible for full membership of Dietitians Australia
- You are eligible for full membership of Dietitians Australia.
- Ideally you have a higher degree or are progressing towards same.
