**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Coke Plant 2 team as an **Operations Coordinator.** As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

The Cokemaking process is an integral part of our manufacturing operations and is one of the first steps in creating Iron and Steel. At Coke Plant 2 (CP2), we ensure the safe and reliable coke production to deliver world class coke quality. Here, we oversee the 7 battery Coke ovens operations, the Coal Handling operations and the Coke Handling operations.

In this role you will oversee the Coal Handling and Coke Handling production area by supporting and managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring your team is focused on the delivery of exceptional performance. You’ll lead and manage the team’s success through their performance and productivity to ensure our business plan objectives and targets are continually met.

This role works Monday to Friday. When you join our team, we offer access to our Employee Assistance Program.

**What Will You Do?**

With a keen interest to grow and develop yourself, you’ll support team leaders and actively participate in providing continuous improvement within the CP2 team. You will be responsible for:

- ensuring safety standards are never compromised making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identified
- leading the shift operations to achieve business targets and ensure operations are within standards
- delivering continuous improvement initiatives through the capture and analysis of loss data
- resolving equipment issues impacting on operational productivity
- coaching, mentoring and developing the team to enhance capabilities
