**About the Role**:
Flinders Medical Centre is a 580-bed public hospital, which is an international leader in integrated patient care, teaching, research and health promotion. Situated 13km south of the Adelaide City Centre, it is on the same campus as the Flinders University of South Australia. Flinders Medical Centre has close working relationships with the Noarlunga Health Services and the Flinders Private Hospital.

The Research Registrar will take part in on going quality improvement and research activities and will help assist in ethics / governance submissions, patient recruitment, data collection and analysis under supervision of a number of trained Consultants. When filling the Registrar role, they will take part in inpatient care, quality assurance, teaching and research in Critical Care Medicine at FMC and elsewhere as specified by the Unit Head and the Director, Division of Medicine, Cardiac and Critical Care Services.

This is a part time vacancy, working up to 11.5 hours per week and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Although contract duration is 3 years, shorter duration contract can be negotiated.

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-month allocation, will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.

**To be successful in this role**:

- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner
- Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a team in a multi-disciplinary setting
- Effective communication skills both written and oral
