As a Line Manager, also called Flexible Manufacturing Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the complete operation and results of one of the five manufacturing lines onsite at our Spotswood facility located at 36 Booker Street Spotswood. You will report directly to the Unit Plant Manager and be responsible for maximizing production performance whilst ensuring a safety and quality first culture.

This role works very closely with the team on the line including Shift Managers, Machine Operators and Glass Workers who are on rotating shift cycles. Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- ensuring the teams skill and capability are maximized, improvements are driven and culture change initiatives are implemented.
- work closely with technical specialists from a range of areas to ensure that services necessary to maintain production efficiency are provided for the line.
- ensuring that quality, cost, safety and people initiatives are executed effectively across the line.
- facilitate and lead a continuous improvement culture where all line members are encouraged and provided with both formal and informal opportunities to develop, implement and refine improvement ideas to improve the performance of the line.

Whilst predominantly a day based role, there may be requirements to work other hours as necessary to support operations.

**What you will bring to the team**:
You will have proven experience within a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment. Any glass manufacturing or FMCG experience will be highly regarded. You will have an eye for detail with an analytical mindset where you drive for continuous improvements and enjoy understanding the technical aspect of your operations.

Proven experience effectively managing a team including driving performance, culture change, accountability and training initiatives is essential. Relevant degree and lean manufacturing qualifications will be looked upon favorably.
