**About the role**

We are looking for a Training and Scheduling Officer to join Rio Tinto’s Learning and Development team based in Brisbane Hub.

This is a great opportunity to work with some of our Brisbane Hub based professional and operational teams to deliver learning content in a variety of modes such as face to face classroom, live webinar, and e-learning, proactively manage and maintain the training compliance and standards database, and to be a key support person for our teams for all their training needs.

Reporting to the Superintendent Learning and Development and working in a collaborative L&D community, you will:

- Manage pre and post-classroom or learning delivery logistics including; attendee lists, preparing and customising required resources marking assessments, and scanning/uploading of learning evidence
- Deliver learning (face to face, live webinar)
- Assist in the creation, design and formatting of e-learning materials, including presentations, quizzes, and multimedia content. Maintain the learning portal
- Be accountable for quality assurance assessment of competency evidence
- Complete standard SAP transactions on training activities, maintain accurate documentation, and generate reports on training activities.
- Maintain the training compliance and standards database
- Review schedules to ensure compliance with standards and preparing compliance reports for the business as required
- Liaise with key stakeholder to schedule training activities, provide reports and updates regarding training needs, requirements and compliance
- Liaise with internal and external parties to identify needs and services
- Monitor incoming enquiries and responding to internal and external customers
- Provide general administrative duties including arranging meetings, rooms and catering

**What you’ll bring**
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- Strong facilitation skills including how to engage, and bring people on the learning journey
- Interpersonal skills to communicate efficiently and effectively with learners
- High level of attention to detail, finely tuned administration skills, experience developing and running reports
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite, experience with eLearning authoring tools is a plus.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both operational and professional streams.
- Experience working in a large integrated organisation
