Palfinger Australia is the Australian Distributor for the global leader Palfinger lifting solutions and a division of Sime Darby Motors Company. Our Australian Team of 60 are committed to building long-standing relationships with our customers and delivering the best hydraulic lifting equipment to industries across Australia. We specialise in the selection, supply, installation, servicing and repair of hydraulic Vehicle Loader Cranes, Hookloaders and Skiploaders.

**The Work**

Joining as a new member of our close-knit Workshop Engineering Team in Wacol. The work you do with us will be challenging and will call upon your problem-solving abilities, diagnostic know-how and engineering trade skills.

You will get the opportunity to grow and expand your skillset as you work alongside other team members to modify, install, service and repair Palfinger Vehicle Loading Cranes [VLC’s], Hookloaders, Skiploaders and other hydraulic equipment.

This will involve things like:

- Completing Workshop installations and Pre-Delivery Inspection duties for all new or used VLC’s Hookloaders and Skiploaders.
- Installation of new cranes onto customer vehicles to Palfinger and Australian Standards.
- Completion of Workshop Paperwork.
- Servicing and repairing new and used VLC’s, Hookloaders and Skiploaders.
- Completing crane inspections.
- Updating your supervisor on the progress of your work and/or any challenges associated with builds or installations.
- Installation of ancillary equipment associated with installations.

**Right fit for you?**

These positions are ideally suited to people who have experience working on the tools in a mechanical workshop environment. Over time, you will learn to become a jack-of-all trades, however to start out, previous experience as a mechanical fitter or within a similar role that involves assembling, installing maintaining and/or repairing industrial equipment will be highly regarded.

Additional Selection Criteria includes:

- An Engineering and/or Mechanical Trade qualification would be an advantage, however is not essential;
- A passion for problem solving and good diagnostic skills;
- Strong attention to detail and a ‘quality workmanship’ mindset; and,
- Well-developed teamwork skills.
