We specialise in the selection, supply, installation, servicing and repair of hydraulic Vehicle Loader Cranes, Hookloaders, Skiploaders and Tail lifts and the supply of any spare parts required for our equipment. **About the Position**

Joining as the newest member of Palfinger Australia’s Senior Leadership Team, the primary purpose of this position is to head up and direct the sales of Paflinger Lifting Equipment [Vehicle Loading Cranes, Hookloaders, Skiploaders and Tail Lifts] nationally.

Key areas of responsibility will include;
**1.** **Developing and implementing a National Sales Plan & Strategy **that aligns to the business’ short-term and long-term goals, is customer centric and also highly effective in a long sales cycle environment.

2. **Leading and coaching a high-performance National Sales Team **of 10 members, who are based in different locations across the country. As the team’s leader your aim will be to engage, inspire and develop each team member to reach their full potential. Ultimately, your aim is to enable the growth of this team to achieve high-performance status.

**3.** **Communicating and building relationships **is also an essential responsibility - this is a high-profile leadership role within the business. Key relationships internally will be with the General Manager, National Sales Team, After Sales Network Manager, Operations Manager, Financial Controller, After Sales Support Team and Workshop Teams. You will also build relationships and collaborate with colleagues in other Sime Darby businesses - here in Australia and abroad. Outside the business you will be working closely with our existing customers, Austrian based OEM, targeted customers and Regional Service Partners.

This position is ideally suited to an experienced National Sales Manager who has a proven track record when it comes to setting the national sales strategy and successfully leading a national sales team, specifically within a road transport, capital equipment and/or heavy engineered equipment/machinery sales environment. Additional Selection Criteria includes;
- Demonstrable experience developing and implementing sales plans, strategies, goals & objectives;
- A well-developed leadership skillset - experience hiring, developing a team, setting performance expectations and coaching and mentoring etc.
- Standout communication skills - you will be a skilled communicator who connects and engages well with people at all levels;
- Excellent thinking processes, analysis abilities, process improvement skills and problem solving capabilities;
- Strong written communication skills; and,
- The drive and ambition to develop a National Sales Team that delivers the business a clear competitive edge.
