This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity working 37.5 hours based at our Heritage Lanes office in Brisbane CBD. There is opportunity to work from home after an initial 1 month training period in office.

**What you’ll do**
- Determine the reason and causes for the delinquency for high-risk customers and accounts and take appropriate action to maximise the recovery of arrears
- Assess and recommend the most appropriate course of action for the recovery of arrears given individual customer circumstances and refer to leader for approval of decisions
- Issue statutory notices, liaise with insolvency administrators and instruct external providers to act on behalf of Suncorp-Metway Ltd
- Prepare strategies detailing appropriate recovery options, specific provisions, and write off processes
- Ensure compliance with policy and procedures, statutory and legal requirements in all recovery matters
- Maintain effective and congenial communications with the various internal banking staff and respond to all enquiries and requests in a timely manner
- Identify and make recommendations to the Leader, on processes and procedures or other issues and improvements

**What you’ll bring**
- Tertiary qualifications desired, but not mandatory.
- Understanding of the recovery process, workout methods and procedures within the relevant systems (Ignite, Hogan, CRMoD, Defaults and Recoveries Database, ALLFI) desired.
- Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework in which Retail Recoveries must operate and constraints imposed by law, desired.
- Banking and lending experience desired, but not mandatory.
- Experience in collections and retail recoveries would be highly regarded.
- Exposure to lending and banking environments.
