These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. **About the Role**

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated permitting officer to join the City Permits Team.

Your day-to-day operations in this role will focus primarily on the administration and processing of permits within the building and construction sector. You will be responsible in assessing and providing advice to builders and other stakeholders in-line with the relevant acts, legislation, and local laws. You will also provide support to the team in the delivery of quality customer service.

Relevant experience in performing similar roles and delivering a high level of customer service to our community and staff will be highly regarded.

**Duties**:

- Work within the team in accordance with relevant standard work guidelines.

**Skills and Experience**
- Strong knowledge and experience working within a legislative/regulative framework such as building, compliance and local laws.
- Experience and sound understanding of Local Government permitting processes, or similar.
- Ability to understand and assess site plans.
- Exceptional customer service, attention to detail and communication skills.
