**Coordinator Recreation and Community (POS2538)**
**We are looking for a professional, driven individual to provide support to the core business objectives of the Recreation and Community Outcomes Business Unit in maximising activation of Councils recreation, sporting and community facilities.**
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
This is a key leadership role within the Recreation and Community Outcomes Business unit. Overseeing a team of four (4) Booking and Activation Officers, this role will be responsible for driving strategies that maximise the activation of Councils sportsgrounds, recreation spaces and community centre. This role requires knowledge and demonstrates experience dealing and managing key stakeholders within the sport, community services, and recreation.
**Y**ou will provide and contribute to:
- Facilitate the affairs of the Liverpool sports Committee, including the management of sporting grants, donations, and sponsorships.
- Identify, develop, and implement strategies that maximize the use and activation of council’s recreation, sporting, and community facilities.
- Manage the creation and execution of annual operational budgets/s, including monthly budget reviews and forecasting and reporting.
- Seek grant funding opportunities.

**ABOUT YOU**
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential areas:
- Appropriate qualifications or extensive experience in sports, recreation and/or community facilities management.
- Current Class C Drivers licence
- Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of business improvement and marketing strategies.
- Effectively drive operational change including a demonstrated ability to provide innovative solutions.
- Strong and well-developed relationship building and key stakeholders’ engagement within a similar space (Recreational/Community Service).
- Understanding of the broad principles of asset management including statutory obligations of council.
