**The Opportunity**
The Safe Step is partnering with this International Commercial and Industrial services business who is a recognised leader. They think and act with purpose, providing an industry leading service in the construction, energy, mining, petrochemical, civil, engineering, and entertainment sectors.

This is an exciting new role where you can make a difference at the frontline in a high-risk industry. The role will business partner with operations teams, establishing strong relationships, ensuring HSEQ policies, procedures and initiatives are known, fit for purpose, implemented, and monitored.

**Who are you?**
You are a highly motivated, energetic self-starter who is capable of working independently and as part of a team, your leadership style is human centric, seeing people as the solution, not the problem.

You understand and thrive in the dynamic building and construction industry, you are comfortable with no two days being the same and have experience in supporting multiple sites, across multiple States.

You have a hands-on approach and a curious nature, your active listening skills, and interest in “work as done” see you collaborating with the frontline to ensure HSEQ systems and initiatives support successful and safe work.

**What will you do?**
- Actions speak louder than words, you will role model this well-established organisations values and leadership principles, championing the company’s safety program around safety differently.
- Partner with the frontline teams communicating and presenting HSEQ in a simple but effective manner, with a focus on developing a culture of risk awareness, speaking up and safe work practices.
- Participate in the development and implementation of effective health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of HSEQ systems, identify hazards, risk creep including non-compliance and work with the frontline to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead investigations identifying root cause and contributing factors and provide recommendations that are practical, productive and prevent like incidents recurring.
- Stay updated with changes in health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Liaise with relevant authorities, including WorkSafe and other regulatory bodies.

**To be successful in this role**:

- Minimum Cert. IV in Work Health and Safety
- C Class driving licence
- General Construction Inductions (White Card)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working within the Construction/ Infrastructure space
- Strong HSEQ and Environment System Management
