Our client has successfully been operating for over 45 years here in Sydney and has worked hard to gain a reputation for quality, safety and honesty within the construction industry.

Projects include Electrical substations, Local Government Authority (Council) buildings, Sporting infrastructure, Warehouses, Commercial projects and refurbishments.
With a successful diverse project portfolio and strong workflow projections across a number of sectors, they are now seeking an accomplished HSEQ Coordinator to join their friendly, driven and energetic team

To be successful in this role you need to have strong Computer Literacy / HSEQ systems experience, the abilities to naturally follow processes within the HSEQ sphere within the Construction sector in Australia.
This is mainly an office based role but still have the requirements to fulfil site based duties from time to time.
About the Role:

  • Report directly to HSEQ Manager
  • Undertake safety, quality and environmental inspections across all project sites, company HQ and associated divisions. Inspecting and monitoring site set up procedures ensuing consistence as cross all project
  • Assist staff, site teams and contractors across all sectors (including civil, commercial) in respect to compliance with relevant legislation, standards and contractual arrangements
  • Supporting the HSEQ Manager to ensure the Safety Management System including policies, procedures manuals and practices are delivered
  • Acting as a company representative on all matters relating to WHS
  • Proactively assisting work teams in implementing and embedding their health and safety work plans
  • Keep up to date with legislative changes, reviewing and improving policies and procedures as required
  • Monitor compliance with organisational policies and procedures
  • Provide Workplace Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality support and advice to the Senior Management Team and Staff.
  • Provide support in Assurance and Audit role in the company
  • Provide support in developing, reviewing and monitoring of the HSEQ Plan and objectives and targets.


Ideally you will have:

  • Minimum Cert. IV in workplace safety
  • Knowledge of the HSEQ processes and experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrates an uncompromising commitment to health & safety
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to function independently in a busy office environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Related industry experience - Commercial and Civil Construction experience would be a definite asset
  • Current Divers license
  • National Construction General Induction Card (All States Recognised)
