**About the Division of Surgery, Anaesthesia and Procedural Medicine (SAPM)**:
This position is located within the Division of SAPM and is part of the booking office team which is comprised of Elective and Endoscopy Services administrative staff, Surgical and Endoscopy Nurse Coordinators and Surgical and Endoscopy Liaison Nurses. The focus of this office is to provide efficient and streamlined care for elective surgery patients.

The surgical booking office is located on the 8th floor of the Harold Stokes Building, Austin Campus. SAPM manages the resources for the general surgical and specialist surgical units.

The role will require close working relationships with relevant staff across the hospital and in particular the Surgical and Endoscopy Nurse Coordinators and Liaison Nurses. Whilst the role reports to the Divisional Manager - Surgery and Endoscopy Access, it will work closely with all Divisional Managers to ensure efficient and consistent administrative services.

**About the role**:
This position is located within the Sugery and Endoscopy Access Team and is part of the surgical booking office team which is comprised of Elective and Endoscopy Services administrative staff and Liaison Nurses. The focus of this office is to provide efficient and streamlined care for elective surgery patients. This role manages a team of elective surgery administrative clerks who oversee multiple surgical units. This role also acts as a leave reliever for these administrative clerks when staff are on planned and unplanned leave therefore requires knowledge across all units.
- **Position Purpose**:

- Ensure an efficient and effective service delivery is provided by administration staff to support the patient along their surgical journey, which includes but not limited too;
- Ensuring a high level of customer service is provided by all administration staff to patients and hospital staff at all times
- Supporting the Division of SAPM / Surgical Liaison Nurses / Coordinators to meet the requirements of the Elective Surgery Access Policy (ESAP) and to provide care to our patients within clinically recommended timeframes.
- Provide continual process development and ensure practices remain current
- Management and supervision of the Elective Services Administration Clerks team within Surgical Access, which includes but is not limited to:

- The day-to-day human resources and operational activities and requirements
- Management and coordination of leave planning for planned and unplanned leave
- Managing performance within the team
