We are a Uniting Church day and boarding school for girls, Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 located in Como, close to the river and Perth CBD.

We are seeking an experienced Teacher of Japanese to join the Languages Department for Term 1, 2024. This part-time (approx. 0.5 FTE) position will teach Years 10 to 12, across the five (5) day timetable.

As a teacher at Penrhos, you will play a significant role in planning, delivering and reflecting on the learning experiences in your classroom. **The successful applicant will have**:

- A Bachelor of Education or a degree qualification supported by a Post Graduate Diploma of Education
- Current TRBWA Membership including a Working with Children card (WWC)
- Commitment to the College’s Core Shared values of Respect, Integrity, Empathy, Knowledge, Growth and Synergy.

**The following essential criteria must be addressed with evidence in the cover letter document**:

- Demonstrated excellence in teaching Secondary School Japanese across Years 7 to 12
- An academic record which demonstrates an ability to foster personal best and the opportunity to achieve excellence in Languages.
- Excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate learning experiences to cater for the learning needs of all students.
- Ability to integrate technology into curriculum delivery to provide opportunity for students to develop 21st Century Skills.
