**Position Information**:
Elderslie Public School is a school in South Western Sydney with a current enrolment of approx 560 students. The school currently has 21 mainstream classes, 3 support classes for students with Autism and 1 class for students with emotional disturbance. At Elderslie Public School our vision is to create an innovative, inspiring and inclusive community. We aim to empower our students through student agency and ensure they feel valued in a safe environment that celebrates cultural identity. A child's wellbeing is at the centre of all decisions, with each student's welfare being everyone's responsibility. **Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria,
- Approval to teach infants and/or primary with a demonstrated capacity to strategically and collaboratively lead, inspire and foster an environment of improvement and innovation through evidence-informed teaching practices that have a sustained positive impact on student outcomes.
- Demonstrated capacity to develop strong relational trust that enhances the professional growth of all staff and promotes the continuation of a positive wellbeing culture.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills in engaging and collaborating with parents and community members resulting in authentic engagement in whole school evaluation, school planning and school wide activities.
- Demonstrated educational leadership in the area of student wellbeing focusing specifically on learning and support, aboriginal education and inclusive education.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
