**The role**:
NAB is committed to increase data risk management maturity by strengthening data risk management practices and capabilities federated across divisions. All underpinned by a Data Management Policy Standard which details what is necessary for successful data management across NAB. The implications of not managing our data risk can be significant to the trust of our data - as a result, we have created this position to be a key enabler across NAB to coordinate execution of data risk management activities.
**Day to day you will be accountable for**:
Critical Data Element Management:
- Application of the critical data element (CDE) management framework including:
- decomposition of data elements,
- capture of metadata and lineage,
- data quality issue resolution, and
- Data Issue Management:
- Identification, prioritisation, and oversight of data issues management on behalf of the business,
- Consistently documenting data issues in the Risk Management Tool,
- Facilitation of the identification and remediation of data issues for the business unit, ensuring root cause investigation and impact analysis have been undertaken and
- Ongoing monitoring of treatment plans to ensure finding is progressing to resolution
- Managing Data Risk in Change:
- Participation in the Change Risk Process to ensure data impacts are understood and addressed,
- Creating awareness to Change Initiators of the CDE Management Framework and how this supports data risk management practices.
**Additionally, you will bring**:
- Extensive experience working with a data governance field within a large and complex organisation
- Experience implementing process to comply with APRA CPG policies
- Experience in people leadership
- Critical Data Element Management
- Data Issue Management
- Managing Data Risk in Change
- Leading high performing teams
- Strong ability to influence, lead and motivate others
- Experience using Collibra would be advantageous
