**Visitor Experience Host - Burra**

**About Burra Learning Place**:
Burra Learning Place is the interactive space for the AM younger audiences and offers a ‘many-ways’ experience where First Nations and western knowledges are brought together in layers of learning that promote living well with Country and each other. Burra Learning Place features two multi-purpose teaching spaces and several versatile programming areas, an immersive theatre, custom-made touchable First Nations tools, sensory walls and dioramas showcasing the work of the Australian Museum Research Institute, and a range of multi-modal, accessible interactives. School groups, children and adults will have opportunities to engage with different ways of knowing within each topic, providing a rich, multi
- dimensional learning experience.

**About the Role**:
Visitor Experience Host (Burra) is responsible for developing and delivering engagement and learning experiences within Burra (which features under 5s areas learning spaces) and other early years programs.

You will be paid a competitive salary:

- Annual salary $70,694 - $76,857, with penalty rates for Sat, Sun and PH, or
- $41.94 - $45.59 per hour plus casual loadings
- Multiple shifts available
- 7 days a week
- Shifts may range between 8.30am - 9pm

**About You**:
To be successful as a Visitor Experience Host, you will:

- be an enthusiastic under 5 years educator possessing the relevant tertiary qualifications.
- have a keen understanding of the development stages of early years and be able to spark and sustain age-appropriate conversations and engagements with children and their carers to foster learning, extend thinking and recognise spontaneous teachable moments.
- experienced working in a busy and sometimes fast paced environment
- experienced in working in team and understand team dynamics during peak visitation periods.
- be solutions focussed with experience in providing an excellent visitor experience and customer services.

**Knowledge & Experience**:

- Demonstrated experience in working with under five years olds in a formal learning environment.
- Knowledge of the science, arts and cultural sectors and their operations.
- Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer experience.

**Essential requirements**
- Hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
