The Water Group leads the NSW Government in providing confidence to communities and stakeholders with the transparent stewardship of water resources, provision of services and reforms that support sustainable and healthy environments, economies and societies across NSW.

**About You**

Lead the Department’s strategic coordination of major water utility investment activities to ensure climate resilient and affordable urban water services in Greater Sydney and the Lower Hunter.

The role will also provide analysis and review of service outcomes and regulatory mechanisms that underpin the provision of water services to ensure that they deliver on their objectives and are aligned with strategy and policy settings, and provide information and advice to ensure that key internal and external stakeholders consider a broader range of issues and factors as part of investment decisions.

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Excellent knowledge of the processes of the NSW Government.
- Sound knowledge of the regulatory, financial and operational settings for NSW State-Owned Corporations/major water utilities.
- Demonstrated experience in coordination and collaboration to resolve complex policy issues involving multiple external and internal stakeholders to deliver quality results.

**Essential Requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in public sector administration, policy, economics, engineering, or related discipline and/or equivalent experience in the successful implementation of public sector directives, initiatives and policies.
