**The Company**
A family owned building material company with head office in Browns Plains providing commercial door hardware, locksmiths, windows, doors, frames, truss, trade plumbing and trade building supplies. Our client is a dynamic building material company with great company culture, providing a wonderful working experience for their employees.

**The Position**
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Sales Representative to join our client's team in Browns Plains. As the Sales Representative you will work closely with the client company’s management and report to the Chief Operating Officer.

**The Role**
The role includes (but not limited to):

- Provide a high standard of customer service
- Solve customer problems where possible, and refer the more complex to higher level staff in a timely & efficient manner
- Maintain and exhibit a comprehensive knowledge of current products and services to existing and potential customers
- Promote products by demonstration and instruction
- Ensure products are supplied in alignment with customer orders
- Follow up on stock orders as required
- Identify any potential hazards to senior management
- Any other duties as directed by the Sales Manager or their designate from time to time
- Thorough product knowledge of typical Fasteners and associated Products used in the construction and Industrial Sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in face to face, trade selling.
- Technically Minded
- Proficient in computer with the ability to interpret data
- Significant trade sales experience.
- Strong network of industry contacts is preferable.
- Have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Be customer driven, fostering strong, open relationships with customers.
- Be a proven problem solver, with the ability to think "outside the box" to get things done.
- Be motivated and highly organised, working both autonomously and as part of a team. You must have excellent attention to detail with the ability to plan and effectively prioritise your time given competing demands
