About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity as a CSI-IPT DDG Governance Manager to join our Maritime CS and System Integration Line of Business based at Osborne in Adelaide, South Australia.
This role is within the CSI-IPT (Combat System Integrator - Integrated Project Team) for the DDG (Hobart Class Destroyer) Combat System upgrade reporting to the DDG CSI Operations Engineering Manager.
The CSI-IPT will grow to around 250-300 engineering focused members who work directly with the CoA MIWS (Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems) branch for design and delivery of all CS upgrade and sustainment work packages for the major surface combatants of the RAN, currently being the HCF (Hunter Class Frigate) and the DDG.
The first contracted scope is for the upgrade of the DDG Aegis Combat System to the latest Baseline 9 inclusive of integration of the Saab Australian Interface, with later planned scope to include the integration of Tomahawk cruise missile and NSM strike missile capability, enhanced Communications and Electronic Warfare systems.
This role will see you responsible for providing support in establishing the governance framework which underpins the delivery of the integrated Combat System design certificate for the Hobart Class DDG upgrade. This entails undertaking activities to identify and develop processes, procedures and infrastructure required to support the execution of the DDG CSI-IPT engineering activities.

- Support the Systems Engineering & Support Manager in the development of engineering plans covering CSI-IPT activities.
- Support the DDG Principal Engineering Manager in ensuring appropriate discipline and adherence to engineering process.
- Develop the infrastructure and processes for internal review boards covering critical engineering activities (i.e. Material Review Board, Verification Review Board)
- Ensure that action items and outcomes out of identified review boards are controlled and aligned for supporting technical execution.
- Support the Systems Engineering & Support Manager with execution and management of ERB (Engineering Review Board) & CCB (Configuration Control Board)
- Support the definition of technical training requirements and competency frameworks.
- Conduct and maintain a record of competency assessments and delegations of Engineering Authority (EA) for all project engineering and technical staff who will be conducting design, design review or related activities.
